How Do I know the condition (new/second hand) of item advertised on the Gold Collections Website ?

At Gold Collections all our product descriptions of each item clearly state the condition of the item whether brand new or used.

Where is your Jewellery made?

Our jewellery is mainly purchased second hand/pre-owned from the public at our store or via a variety of sources we have built over the years

Where do you source your diamonds?

Our diamonds are purchased whilst already mounted within the ring. Therefore either from our customers at our store or via vetted sources.
We have the expertise to correctly appraise and grade pre-owned jewellery we purchase.

Are your diamonds conflict free?

All our new jewellery are sourced from registered UK jewellery wholesealers and we receive assurances that the diamonds are conflict free.

Do you offer certificates with your diamonds?

Our jewellery over £500 comes with in house grading certificates completed by our Gia trained diamond specialist. We have all the necessary equipment to provide this information.

What certificates do you use?

In house certificate by Gold Collections. Certain jewellery may come with Wholesaler/Brands certificate.

Do you sell synthetic diamonds?

We on occasions stock cubic zirconia silver and gold jewellery. However this is clearly stated in the title and description of the item.

What are your opening & closing times?

Our store is an online store therefore open all times. If you would like to book an appointment to view a certain piece on our website please contact us.
Our normal trading hours are Monday to Friday 9.30am to 5pm.

What are your accepted payment methods?

We accept any card payments on our website via our secure check out. Other methods available are PayPal, Klarna finance and Bank transfer.

Can I place my order over the phone?

Currently we do not accept phone payments.

How can I return my purchase for an exchange or refund?

We offer a 30 day returns policy, so long as the item is returned back in the same condition it arrived. Earrings cannot be returned.
Please email us on if you would to request a return and we will provide you with the return information.
Buyer is reponsible for paying any return postage.

I would like to apply for Interest Free Credit, how does it work?

Which brands do your stores stock?

We offer a range of pre-owned brands such as Rolex, Cartier, Breitling, Tiffany and Co, Tag Heuer, Gucci, Rado, GIA, Omega to name a few.

Can I have my purchase delivered to my local store?

Currently we do not offer this.

Can I reserve an item to pick up and pay for it in store?

Yes you can. All you need to do is email us and state the item title and we can do that for you. Altenatively you can call us.

What guarantee do I receive with my purchase?

On pre-owned watches we offer a 1 year warranty for non accidental damage eg on the mechanical movement side of the watch.
On jewellery we offer a 3 months warranty on non accidental damage

My watch has stopped, what do I do?

Email or call our customer service team and our helpful staff will offer you a solution. We also employ a watchmaker who carries out all our work.

How can I insure my purchase?

We send out our parcels via fully insured and tracked Royal Mail Special Delivery postage with adequate cover.
You can insure your product with your home insurance provider. All you may need to do is show them a proof of purchase or valuation document and they will work
our the premium. Alternatively TH March is a specialist insurance company who offer insurance for jewellery. 

Can I get a written valuation of my purchase for my insurance company?

Yes on items over £500 we include a written valuation

Do you engrave items?

Currently we do not offer any engraving service.

Where do I get original second hand jewellery?

Gold Collections offer a wide range of second hand jewellery on our website. Our items have been fully verified by our professional buyers

Why choose second-hand jewellery?

Each design is unique and it offers great value for money as pre-owned jewellery is often priced at 70 to 80% below retail prices.
We find that second hand jewellery is often much heavier and durable than modern new jewellery.

What is the best way to clean my jewellery?

Either take it to a professional jewellery shop to clean or purchase some gold or silver dip or polishing cloths. These usually bring a sparkle back to your jewellery.

What is the difference between vintage and antique jewellery?

Antique jewellery we would personally class as being over pre 1940s,1950s. I would say vintage jewellery is from the late 60s onwards.

How long does it take for an item to be delivered?

We offer next day delivery service therefore between 1 – 2 days maximum.

Are my personal details safe when placing an order with Gold Collections?

Yes we have a SSL certificate in place that can be seen by the PADLOCK next to the browser address. This means your details are encrypted when any payment is made

If you subscribe to our mailing list which you can do from the home page we do send out discounts and promotional codes for special events and sales.

Do I need to sign for my parcel?

As our deliveries are sent via special delivery a signature will be required before you can receive the item from postman

What happens if my order is not delivered yet?

Please contact us on and our helpful staff will help you with your query

What is your returns policy?

We offer a 30 days no quibble return policy. Items will need to be sent back in there original condition without being worn.

How do I return something to you?

The item will need to be sent via Royal Mail or a suitable courier offering the correct insurance at our offices address. Please contact us before you do this.
We do not accept returns in store.

How long will it take for my refund or exchange to be processed?

Depending on your card company within 3 to 5 days.

What if the item I want to exchange for differs in price?

If the item is lower in price we can offer you this credit as a gift voucher that can be used on our website. If it is higher the difference can be charged to your card
however this may need to be completed via email or over the phone.

How will I know my item has been received and a return has been processed?

For any returns you the buyer will have sent the item via special delivery tracked and insured therefore you can check the tracking code.
We will send you an email once item has been received and return has started.
